One Direction Hiring! Looking For Someone To 'Schedule' The Partying

One Direction are on the road with their Take Me Home Tour and prepping a 2014 stadium jaunt, Where We Are. But if you think it's all parties and girls between gigs, the guys want you to know that simply isn't the case. Regarding whether they party on tour, Niall Horan, 19, tells British GQ, "We haven't been on the road long enough yet; ask me in a few months' time. All last year, we were touring in America so we were all under age, so we couldn't really party then, anyway." Louis Tomlinson is the only group member of legal partying age, 21, in the U.S.

Liam Payne adds, "Maybe we need someone to schedule that in for us," but explained that the guys hardly have time to think about girls while they are traveling. "Groupies? We don't have time to party! I'm not even single. This sort of talk will get me in trouble." While it's unclear who the lucky lady is that Liam is passing time with these days — he split from his longtime girlfriend Danielle Peazer earlier this year — Tomlinson says that even if he wasn't dating college student Eleanor Calder, he wouldn't be into groupies: "The type of girls that would sleep with you in a heartbeat aren't the type of girls I'd want to take home anyway," he says.

Until they make time to hit the clubs, the guys are prepping the release of their 3-D film, "This Is Us," for August 30 and still working on their third "edgier" album, rumored to be dropping by the holidays. Horan says their ever-growing list of projects keeps them busy. "We go back on the road straight after a show and we're gone," he notes. "I wish we did have time for girls and parties, but we don't."

The full interview is in the September issue of British GQ, out Thursday.

They all screamed for One Direction

One Direction in New York (Cal Aurand)

A sea of frenzied teenage girls wearing outfits they somehow sneaked past their mothers screamed with impressive endurance at KeyArena Sunday, for boy-band sensation One Direction. Signs, T-shirts and training bras flew through the air, most of them falling short of the band’s elevated platform.
If it hadn’t been for the persistent high-pitched shrieks and shouts of “Marry me, Harry!” the hour-and-a-half, 21-song show might have been enjoyable.

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik — all 19-21 — went through all the motions to show their neon-and-denim, crop-top-and-short-shorts-clad admirers a good time. They gazed into the eyes of front-row fans, they kept asking if everyone was having a good time and they made silly faces at each other every now and then.
Their poppy voices harmonized more naturally than might be expected for this generation’s favorite new boy band. Their show wasn’t carefully or artfully choreographed, but it didn’t need to be. The allure of this group isn’t in its dancing. It’s in Styles’ hair flips, Payne’s surprising goofiness, Tomlinson’s cheekiness, Horan’s cuteness and Malik’s mysteriousness, all coupled with powerful vocal cords and adorable onstage interactions.

One Direction's 'This Is Us' Captures 'The Ups, The Downs' Of 1D

In the years since One Direction met three years ago on the "X Factor" in the U.K., they have become world-famous pop superstars, leaving girls swooning all around the world. And that's why "This Is Us" producer, Ben Winston, notes that their real story plays out better than any fictional movie ever could. "I think that if you were to go into a Hollywood office and say 'I got this idea for a film. Five unknown guys coming from absolutely nowhere and within two or three years there going to be some of the most famous altruists on the planet, winning MTV Awards, be hugely successful, having world tours... I think you'd go 'I don't believe that script. That can't be true. It could never happen,' " Winston explained  about the 3-D movie.

Winston's been along for the ride, having worked with the guys on their 2011 small-screen doc, "One Direction: A Year in the Making," directed their new video for "Best Song Ever" and is now producing the Morgan Spurlock-directed doc/concert film, out August 30. Shooting has completed on the movie and it's currently being edited. He also notes that the film will also set the record straight about the fivesome, showing that they are still the same five young lads from across the U.K. they were before fame and fortune came calling. "So I think it's a really exciting film," he said. "I hope that people really love it and I hope people really love them off the back of it. They'll always surprise people. I think people must think they must have changed; they really can't be as nice as they are. I can promise you they really are and I think that will come through in 'This Is Us.' "

Harry Styles secretly hides beneath seats as fans wait for One Direction to go on stage

He regularly gets mobbed when he’s out and about trying to go about his daily life. But Harry Styles clearly fancied going unnoticed for a change as he snuck beneath the seats of One Direction fans at one of their recent concerts in Kansas city.

Delighted that he had gone unnoticed Harry grinned and pointed above him where unsuspecting concert goers sat – completely unaware of the presence of the heartthrob below.
It would have been a wildly different story if the 19-year-old had been spotted – no doubt chaos would have descend as fans clambered to get near the curly haired star.

One Direction lads' astounding make-up transformation for latest hit video

Their handsome faces are familiar to millions – so One Direction’s make-up crew really had their work cut out creating these disguises. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson swapped their trademark skinny jeans and high-top trainers for fancy dress for their new Los Angeles-set music video. And as Sunday People exclusive pictures show, the world’s most recognisable boyband had a blast being transformed into US music industry workers for the clip to go with single Best Song Ever – out tomorrow.

Zayn, 20, must have drawn the short straw – he was turned into a bespectacled female brunette for the video. The singer, who is dating Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, wore women’s office wear and a fetching curly wig.

Harry Styles, meanwhile, was transformed in a marketing boss called Marcel. The 19-year-old heart-throb, who is usually seen in trendy blazers, wore a tank top and a pair of nerdy glasses. With the curly hair that helped make him a household name straightened and slicked back, he ended up looking like Sir Cliff Richard in his pomp.

Liam, also 19, was given the role of a choreographer named Leeroy. He had to wear a pink headband and blonde wig. Louis, 21, became a record company executive called Johnny – and had to hide away his locks for a bald look. Niall, 19, had to wear padding underneath his shirt to play rotund boss Harvey. He was also given a fuzzy ginger beard by the band’s talented make-up artists.

As well as becoming best pals, they have conquered the UK, America and Australia, and had a massive hit with What Makes You Beautiful. They also have a huge fanbase across Europe.
Best Song Ever will be the first single released off the band’s third album, which is due out in the autumn. The song is also featured on the trailer for their movie, This Is Us, which is out on August 30.
A source close to the group said they chose the music industry theme because they like to keep their loyal fans entertained by doing something different.

The insider said: “The boys had a great time making the movie. “They couldn’t believe how different they look. They can’t wait for their fans to see them looking like this, they think they will find it absolutely hilarious. “Since they started out as a band three years ago, the boys have never stopped having fun and this is just another way that they can have a giggle together.
